About Curia

One place for every Canadian insolvency deal

Receivership and insolvency sales are public — but scattered across dozens of trustee and receiver websites, court filings, and industry notices. Curia pulls them together so serious buyers never miss a deal.

The aggregator model

How Curia works

Curia monitors public filings, court notices, and receiver announcements across Canada. When a business comes to market through a formal insolvency proceeding, we surface it in one searchable feed — with the receiver's contact details, the province, and the current status. No subscriptions, no gatekeeping. The data is public; we just make it findable.

01

Public data, centralized

Insolvency filings and receivership notices are public record. Curia aggregates them from court registries, OSB records, and receiver firm websites into a single, up-to-date feed.

02

Verified buyer network

Buyers register their acquisition criteria — sector, size, geography — so receivers can see a pre-qualified pool of interested parties the moment a deal is listed.

03

No cost to the estate

Curia charges nothing to receivers or trustees. Wider buyer reach means better sale outcomes for creditors — that alignment is built into the model.

Step by step

From filing to offer

1

Step 01

Filing is made

A court appoints a receiver or trustee. The appointment and any sale process notices become part of the public record.

2

Step 02

Curia picks it up

We monitor public sources and add the opportunity to the Curia feed — business type, province, receiver firm, and a link to the official sale process.

3

Step 03

Buyers are notified

Registered buyers whose criteria match the listing receive an alert. No more manually checking dozens of receiver websites.

4

Step 04

Buyer contacts the receiver

Interested buyers reach out directly to the appointed receiver or trustee. Curia facilitates discovery — the sale process stays entirely with the court-appointed officer.
